Film Screenings

ABFF's mission is to provide a platform for the best independent films by and about people of African descent from around the world. In addition, the festival partners with studios and television networks to premiere and sneak peak upcoming releases and shows through our Gala and Spotlight screenings.

Successful filmmakers who have emerged from the festival include: Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station), Roger Bobb (For Colored Girls), Rashaad Ernesto Green (Gun Hill Road), Rob Hardy (Empire, Criminal Minds) and Will Packer (Ride Along, Think Like a Man) to name a few.
