Social Impact Showcase (Black Fatherhood): Films accepted in this section will be featured in a special screening at the festival, which will be followed by a conversation with the directors.

The ABFF Social Impact Showcase is a new section dedicated to films based on cause-related themes relevant to communities of color. This year’s topic is Fatherhood: The Foundation of the Black Family. The goal is to change the narrative of black fathers by highlighting their presence, importance and contribution to the black family, and by extension, the black community, thereby positively affecting society’s view of the subject.
